We were up early to leave at 8am. We could have left earlier, however, we had put a $20 dposit in the amenities keys, so had to wait for the reception to open to return the keys and get our money back. Mornos was the Grafton Transit Centre which is essentially a truck stop behind the BP servo just outside of Graftton. We bought Maccas coffee to go and sat in the van.
A leisurely lunch was at Kempsey, a little later than usual as we could not check in until 1pm. After taking our time and Greg having a brew, we arrived at Crescent Head Holiday Park (site #176) about 3pm and after setting up, we went for a wander through the seaside town of Crescent Head and then the van park which is quite large. It is also the first park where we did not have a concrete slab. Most sites had shade cloth pegged to the ground as the "slab", but we did not have one. Another thing to add to the list – flooring, together with sunscreens for the front of the awning and one for the side, and anti-flapper devices to stop the awning from flapping too much in a stiff breeze.
Dinner was mince, spelt spiral pasta and smashed veggies.
