Ride: 53 km
Greg needed a replacement part (water
hose connection) for the van and we found a place in Fyshwick. So, after late'ish breakfast we set off on
the bikes. It was a lovely ride along
the edges of Lake Burley-Griffin.
Becasue it was such a nice day we decided to stop off in the city for
lunch (Civic Food Court) and then browse the bike shops in Lonsdale St. The ride home after that was not that much
fun – mostly uphill in 36 deg C heat! We only got home at 2:30pm and had to be
at Mick and Kate's in Kambah at 5pm, so after a cool down, then a snooze, we
showered and drove to Kambah. M&K
had kindly asked all the old cycle group mates around for a BBQ and it was an
excellent night (complete with torrential downpour) and we only left at 10pm,
which meant we did not get into bed until after 11pm!!
