Ride: 19 km
It was back to normal today – toast and coffee before our ride, then back home for breakfast.
The four of us then went for a drive to Mogo. We had driven through Mogo a few times, but never actually stopped, so this was a good opprotunity to see the place. It is a very touristy town, but not too OTT. First stop was at the cafe for mornos, and then we left mum and dad with a plan to meet them at the car later on. We walked the main street and window-shopped in a few shops before Greg bought a hat – one of those collapsible ones with mesh to make it cooler. Wendy then bought another ceramic green frog to replace Cornelius on the wall at mum and dad's (he allegedly got broken somehow and the bits thrown in the bin before BeeBee and Pops found out!) We then found the kitchen shop and Wendy could have spent all day in there, but was eventually dragged away.
Greg had lunch when we got home, Wendy was still full from mornos because she had some orange and poppy seed cake! It was then back to the shops to resupply the van as we are leaving tomorrow. Greg went for another ride whilst Wendy did some van admin – washing, cleaning, etc.
We cooked for mum and dad
tonight. Greg did barra and salmon with
tumeric, ginger and thyme for himself and mum and dad, and Wendy cooked herself
a pork chop. All accompanied by smahed
veggies, wine and lots of chatting.
